HD/HR Holden Club of NSW – Schedule Events for 2025

February

  • Sunday 23rd February – Club run to Bobby Bakehouse Gables – enjoy pies, pastries and coffee at Bobby Bakehouse Gables – 1 Lakefront Cres Gables. Meet at The Ettamogah, Cnr Merriville &, Windsor Rds Kellyville  carpark - at 8am for an 8:30am departure.

March

Sunday 2nd March commencing at 9am – Elvis Festival and Car Show at Penrith Leagues Club Mulgoa Road Penrith in the Aqua Golf carpark. Hosted by Cars under the Stars, with trophies for Best in Show, Best Classic Car and most unique. Also enjoy the live music 

Saturday 8th March – Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motorfest 2025 @ Myall Sports Park. Yamba Street Hawks Nest. Gates open at 8am with all cars to be in by 10am and will run till 2pm. The Car show is hosted by Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor Club to help raise funds for Rural fire, Red Cross and TGHN Surf Club with car display admission being $10

Saturday 15th March Barefoot Bowls same place Kingswood Bowling Club at 6pm plenty of laughs & a nice dinner afterwards.

This time we are making it a little different with more fun

Yep its dress up as your favourite actor singer whatever you want so let's have a bit fun

Saturday 22nd March – Club run to Warragamba Dam finishing off at Fratelli Pizzeria at Penrith for a bit to eat. Meet up at BP Service Station/ Wahlburgers Car Park at 657 The Northern Rd Bringelly @ 4pm where we will depart at 4:30 making our way to Warragamba Dam for a quick visit and pit stop. We will them make our way to the new location of Fratelli Pizzeria at Caloola Ave Penrith where there is plenty of onsite parking straight outside the venue

April

Sunday April 13thClub run to Cordeaux Dam Picnic area for a BYO picnic lunch meeting up at McDonalds on Narellan Rd, Narrellan at 10am for a 10:30am departure to the dam. Remarkable for its Egyptian inspired architecture, a visit to Cordeaux Dam is like stepping back in time. Massive Egyptian style stone gateways guard the entrance to the dam wall, and the leafy picnic grounds feature stands of tall pine trees and other reminders of past times. Cordeaux is one of four dams that make up the Upper Nepean water supply scheme south of Sydney on the Illawarra Plateau. Facilities include picnic shelters, electric barbecues, drinking water, toilets,

 

May

Sunday 4th May – Club run to Robertson Pie shop for morning tea then down to Kiama Blow Hole.

There will be two start locations.

Ampol M4 at Eastern Creek 8:30 am for a 8:45am departure to Robertson

For our south coast participants meeting at Hungry Jacks Hayward Bay 9:30am for a 9:45am departure to Robertson

We will all meet up at the Pie shop around 10:30am for morning tea and a catch up. For those wishing we will continue to Kiama Blow hole, before we make our way home from there.

June

June 6th to 8th24rd HD/HR Holden Nationals to be held at Stanthorpe QLD Australia. This is a fun and great weekend had by all with a meet and greet on the Friday evening, Show and Shine on Saturday with the presentation dinner scheduled for Saturday evening. Sunday usually has a cruise of all cars to see the sites of the local area before the weekend event comes to a close.  

Sunday 29th of June- Club run to Matt’s Diner at 1 Elizabeth Drive Lake Munmorah.

Meeting at McDonalds 218 Pennant Hills Rd Thornleigh 9:30am for a 10am departure to Lake Munmorah

July

  • Saturday afternoon 12th of July – South West – Club run with catch up for dinner  - time and venue to be to be advised later in the year.

 

August

  • Saturday and Sunday  August 2nd  & 3th  – Hawkesbury Swap Meet – Hawkesbury Showground Clarendon
  • Sunday August 3rd  – 37th NSW All Holden Day - Hawkesbury Showground Clarendon where you will see the world’s largest collection of Holden cars in one location and celebrating 60years of one of our iconic club models the HD Holden

  • Sunday August 17thShannon’s Eastern Creek Classic CMC Car show where you will see almost 2000 of the most collectable, most adored, the most lovingly restored (and preserved) Classic Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks, Buses and Military Machines all on display. This is an extremely popular event with our members where we have a limited number of 20 tickets available for members to purchase at a price of $25 where part of the proceeds are donated towards research for Prostate Cancer. Your entry not only goes towards the above great cause but also allows you to drive your beloved vehicle around the Eastern Creek circuit. These tickets go fast so please message John Stewart to reserve your ticket.

    September

  • Sunday September 14thClub run to the picturesque Blue Mountain with lunch at Megalong Valley Tea Rooms .  Further details will follow closer to the date with meeting time.
  •  We will meet up at McDonalds at the Shell Cross Roads service station, Cnr Cranebrook Rd and Londonderry Rd Cranebrook at 8:30am for a 9am departure, before we head towards Springwood Road with our first stop at Hawkesbury Lookout to take in the magnificent sites of the Nepean Valley and the city skyline in the distance, from there we will make our way and join the Great Western Highway before making our way to Megalong Valley Tea Rooms for brunch.

October

 

  • Saturday 25th October  – club run to attend a tour of the proposed new Western Sydney Airport  at Badgerys Creek Planned opening for travel is 2026 and hoping to organize a tour of the new terminal if available followed by a catch up Twin Creeks Golf club for dinner. Details of starting location and time to follow closer to the date once confirmation from Airport committee of tour times.
